Abstract
PURPOSE:To omit the reception local oscillator by utilizing part of the transmission modulation signal for the reception local oscillation output. CONSTITUTION:The transmission digital signal is modulated directly by FM modulator 22 and then fed to antenna 25 via circulator 24. The reception modulation signal received at antenna 25 is then transmitted to port (3) from (2) of circulator 24. At the same time, part of the transmission power corresponding to the backward attenuation amount which is transmitted from port (1) to (3) is applied to frequency converter 27 along with the reception modulation signal. The 1st intermediate frequency signal delivered from converter 27 contains the transmission modulation signal component but is mixed with the output of voltage control oscillator 33 to be negated. The output of the frequency converter with the transmission signal component negated contains only the reception modulation signal component to be delivered from frequency discriminator 32. In such way, the reception local oscillator can be omitted.
