Abstract
817,713. Radio signalling; frequency-changing systems. COMPAGNIE FRANCAISE THOMSON-HOUSTON. Feb. 9,1956 [Feb. 11, 1955], No. 4091/56. Classes 40 (5) and 40 (6). A radio relay station comprises a superheterodyne receiver for receiving incoming signals at a frequency F + # F (where #F represents the modulation components) and means for applying said modulation components to a transmitter whose frequency is F - 2 f (where f is the intermediate frequency of said receiver), the heterodyne frequency for said receiver being obtained from a mixer, fed with a fraction of the transmitter output signal F - 2 f - AF and a fraction of the intermediate frequency signal of said receiver f + #F. The resulting heterodyne frequency F - f thus contains substantially no modulation components. This signal is mixed with said incoming signals F + #F to give the intermediate frequency f + #F.
