Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform composite modulation for the sub-signal with excellent performance without extending especially for the frequency band, by performing ON- OFF amplitude modulation of the digital sub-signal with the main signal after O-pi phase modulation in advance. CONSTITUTION:In the modulation system performing ON-OFF amplitude modulation for the carrier with a digital signal, the O-pi phase modulator 6 is connected between the oscillation source 1 of carrier and the ON-OFF amplitude modulator 3, sub-signal is inputted to the sub-signal input terminal 7 of the modulator 6 to obtain the output modulated into O and pi phase for the carrier at the output terminal 8 of the modulator 6. Further, this modulated signal is made ON-OFF control with the signal fed to the digital input terminal 4 of the modulator 3 to obtain the output in composite modulation at the output terminal 5.
