Abstract
PURPOSE: To monitor radiation energy in real time by a radiation monitor by installing a plurality of radiation detectors at different depth positions in phantom of predetermined material.
CONSTITUTION: Radiation detectors 23a, 23b are installed at the different depth positions in phantom 22 equivalent to water, human body, etc. forming a radiation monitor 21 or installed at different depth positions in two phantoms 22, respectively to thereby detect the radiation intensity by the radiation irradiated outside a utilized radiation cone 20. When the ratio of the detected values are calculated, it can be monitored without affection of radiation energy to the utilized radioactive rays inreal time without necessity of controlling the different depths of the detectors. In case that the radioactive rays are not immediatedly utilized, when the monitor 21 is inserted into the cone 20, the radiation energy can be simply monitored.
