Abstract

PURPOSE: To uniformly and effectively shield radiant rays leaked from hole by means of circular shield through which an operating shaft is passed and an axial shield secured to the shaft.
CONSTITUTION: An operating shaft 4 is passed internally through a hole 2 perforated at a concrete shield 1 to be operated by a handle 5 externally of the shield 1 at the valve of equipment and pipe. In order to shield radiant rays leaked from the hole 2 at the position of the handle 5, a cylindrical axial shield 6 is provided at the shaft 4 to make a circular shield 7 having a hole through which the shaft 4 is passed, contact with the wall of the hole 2 at the outside.
