Abstract
PURPOSE: To carry out the washing of a heating surface safely abd efficiently by ejecting from a soot blower a liquid detergent, which has been introduced thereinto, onto the heating surface.
CONSTITUTION: Nozzles 2 at the tip of a soot blower 1 are replaced with washing nozzles 2'. A washing pipe extended from the outside of a furnace is connected to a joint 15 to a pipe connected to the blower 1. The washing pipe is provided with a flow meter 4, valves 5, a pressure gauge 6, and a feed pump 7 and a medicine injection pump 8 the discharge pressures of which can be freely varied. A washing water receiving tank 9 is provided at a lower portion of a fuel economizer 3. Washing water to which an inhibitor has been added by the medicine injection pump 8 is ejected by the feed pump 7 from the nozzles 2' of the soot blower 1, which are provided at an upper portion of the fuel economizer 3. The washing water flows down into the washing water tank 9 while dissolving and separating matters sticked to a heating surface. Thus, fuel ashes are completely removed. Accordingly, the temperature of waste gas at an outlet of the fuel economizer can be reduced to allow the heat absorption efficiency of the heating surface to be improved.
