Abstract

PURPOSE: To make an efficient use of thermal and pressure engergy possessed by cold liquefied gas, by expanding a portion of intermediate heat-medium steam for evaporating the cold liquefied gas while taking off power therefrom in an expander or other.
CONSTITUTION: When cold liquefied gas is supplied from tank 1, its pressure is raised by pump 2. Then, gas is evaporated in evaporator 3, overheated in overheater 4, and overheated again in overheater 5, whereafter it is sent to places where gas thus overheated is to be used. Intermediate heat-medium in evaporator 6, consisting of ethane, propane or the like, is evaporated by the heat medium such as sea water, and a portion of the evaporated heat-medium is used to drive expander 8 and to thereby drive means connected to the expander 8. The intermediate heat-medium is expanded in expander 8 and condensed in evaporator 3 after gasifying the gas therein. Remaining portion of intermediate heat-medium in evaporator 6 is used for overheating gas in overheater 4.
