Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the high-temperature heat-sensitive coloring property of a multicolor heat-sensitive recording material by incorporating in a high-temperature heat-sensitive coloring layer a condensate of a fatty acid amide and formaldehyde or a condensate of a fatty acid and ethylenediamine. CONSTITUTION:A multicolor heat-sensitive recording material comprises two heat- sensitive coloring layers which are different from each other in coloring temperature and in color tone and are consisting of a leuco dye and a phenolic substance or acid substance, and include a decoloring agent for the low-temperature heat-sensitive coloring component. In the high-temperature heat-sensitive coloring layer (the lower layer) is incorporated 0.1 to 2.0 parts by weight per one part by weight of the coloring agent of methylol amide which is a condensate of a fatty acid amide and formaldehyde and has a melting point above 110 deg.C or bisamine which is a condensate of a fatty acid and ethylenediamine and has a melting point above 110 deg.C.
