Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a recording material having preferably keeping quality and high density by containing a leuco dye, a p-oxybenzylbenzoate and a methylol fatty acid amide as main contents of a heat sensitive coloring layer. CONSTITUTION:A colorless or pale leuco dye is mixed as a main content of a heat sensitive coloring layer formed on a support and a p-oxybenzylbenzoate and a methylol fatty acid amide are mixed as an acid substance coloring upon reaction with a colorant at a heating time. The methylol fatty acid amide is preferably a high melting point wax substance added with formaldehyde to a fatty acid amide with more than 12 of n in the formula RCOHCH2OH. The p- oxybenzylbenzoate of the acid substance is necessarily heavier than 10wt%. Such recording material has less skin coloring and preferable clearness.
