Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-sensitive recording paper capable of giving recordings of a high color concentration without causing any fading phenomenon with time by providing a coating layer containing a mixture of a saturated polyester and hydroxyethyl cellulose. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording system in which a colorant in (semi) solid state at ordinary tempeature, provided on a base material, is contacted with a recording paper and then heated by a thermal head, etc., so as to transfer the colorant to the recording paper, a saturated polyester (in aqueous dispersion system preferably) and hydroxyethyl cellulose are mixed together in a proportion of 20-90:80-10 by weight, preferably 40-80:60-20 in percent, and 100pts.wt. of the mixture is mixed move preferably with 50-90pts.wt. paint e.g. calcium carbonate etc. Then, the paint thus prepared is coated in an amount of 7-15g/ m<2> on a supporter (a high quality paper) to obtain an objective recording paper.
