Abstract
PURPOSE:To economically produce the superior captioned steel plate by rolling the slab blank for the directional electromagnetic steel plate of low C contents to the final plate thickness by a twice cold rolling method of performing cold rolling of the first time at the specific draft or more then subjecting the steel plate to box annealing or open coil annealing. CONSTITUTION:The slab for directional electromagnetic steel plate which is made C0.02% or less in the molten steel stage and is then made to a slab by a continuous casting method or ingot making method is used as a blank. Said blank is rolled to the final plate thickness by a twice cold rolling method in which intermediate annealing is done after hot rolling. At this time, the cold rolling of the first time is accomplished at draft 50% or less to break the texture and microsturcture of the hot rolled plate down to immediate before secondary recrystallization annealing, thereby fining the structure to a moderate degree. Intermediate annealing is accomplished in a decarburizing atmosphere containing wet hydrogen to cause decarburization, thence long-time hot and annealing such as box annealing or open coil annealing is performed after the cold rolling of the second time, whereby the secondary recrystals are stably formed.
