Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve repetitive bending characteristics by decarburization annealing a cold-rolled directional silicon steel plate and subjecting the same to final annealing then flattening annealing the same in a specific atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:A silicon steel slab is hot-rolled to a steel plate which is then subjected to intermediate annealing in 5min at 900 deg.C, and is thence cold-rolled, to a steel plate of final plate thickness. Next, it is subjected to decarburization annealing in wet hydrogen for 3min at 820 deg.C, after which an annealing separating agent of MgO+1.5% TiO2 is coated, and the plate is subjected to final annealing. Next, a phosphate-base insulation film is formed and is predried, after which the plate is soaked for 1min at 800 deg.C, and is subjected to flattening annealing in which the rates of cooling down to 100 deg.C are kept roughly at 10 deg.C/sec. and 40 deg.C/sec. In this case, the annealing atmosphere is a neutral atmosphere such as N2 or weak reducing or weak carburizing atmosphere and the dew point is kept at <=25 deg.C, whereby the repetitive bending characteristics of the cold-rolled silicon steel plate are considerably improved.
