Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform the ON and OFF controlling of light signal with the simple constitution by providing an opening and closing shutter between a lens converging input light to parallel beams and a lens stopping down the parallel beams. CONSTITUTION:When the light signal transmitted in an optical fiber cable 1 for inputting is led into a light signal cut off device body 3 by way of an optical connector 2, a lens 4 converts this to parallel beams which are then sent to the lens 7 on the opposite side. The lens 7 outputs these beams to an optical fiber cable 5 by way of an optical connector 6. Hence, if the shutter 8 disposed between the lenses 4, 7 is opened or closed from the outside by way of a driving circuit 9, then the light signal may be readily ON and OFF controlled.
