Abstract
PURPOSE: To decrease oil leak from shaft sealing part as well as supply of lubricating oil by providing one oil-supplying groove in the direction of drain in the edge surface of thrust-shaft bearing body with which the thrust collar is in contact.
CONSTITUTION: Thrust shaft bearing is composed by fitting casing 1 with bearing body 5 and further fitting rotating shaft 2 piercing the body 5 with thrust collars 6 contacting respectively with the edge surface of the body 5. In the edge surface 5a of the body 5 with which the thrust collars are in contact is formed one oil-supplying groove 11 in the direction of drain. When the rotating shaft 2 starts rotation, most of the lubricating oil supplied from the orifice 9 is furnished into the mutually contacting surfaces of 5a and 6 enough for lubrication thereof from oil-supplying groove 11 through the orifice 8. And surplus oil is discharged from the groove 11 to the drain hole 4 without diffusing around.
