Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep an optimum quantity of oil by a method wherein specific oil supply and discharge holes communicating with oil supply and discharge passages in a stationary shaft are formed in inner rings, respectively, of the titled bearing. CONSTITUTION:The oil supply holes 23a, 23b and the oil discharge hole 24 are formed in the inner rings 2a and 2b in correspondence to the oil supply passages 13 and 14 and the oil discharge passages 15 communicating with a supply passage 11 and a discharge passage 12 in the stationary shaft 1 so that the holes 23a, 23b and 24 communicate with the bases of collar sections 22a and 22b of the inner rings 2a and 2b which bases form the corners between the bodies 21a and 21b of the inner rings and the collar sections. Further, a ring-like oil quantity regulating member 3 having a configuration of T in section and provided with an intake passage 34 is arranged between the inner rings 2a and 2b, and the outer ring 4, especially in the clearance between retainers 51 and 52 for rollers 53 and 54 with the passage 34 being made to communicate with the oil discharge hole 24. With the above structure, a lubricating oil is supplied to the bases of the collar sections 22a and 22b through the supply passage 11, the oil supply passages 13 and 14, the oil supply holes 23a and 23b and transferred to the inner peripheral surface of the outer ring 4 due to a centrifugal force so that the problem of excess and short supply of the lubricating oil can be solved.
