Abstract

PURPOSE: To cool down a motor with low-temperature discharge gas by an arrangement wherein a refrigerant gas sucked through a refrigerant intake port is introduced directly into an intake chamber, and a heat exchange pipe led through a plural hole in a stator core is used for a part of the discharge gas passage.
CONSTITUTION: A feed port 24 is provided oppositely to a refrigerant inlet 22 for enclosed chamber 1, a suction passage 25 coupling the feed port 24 directly to an intake chamber 26 for a compression element 5 is provided, thereby sucking a gas without coming in contact with a high-temperature zone. Further, a heat exchange pipe 29a led through a plural hole 3a provided in a stator core 3 of motor 2 is formed as working for a part of a discharge gas passage. Now, the sucked gas comparatively low in temperature is compressed by a piston 9, enters a discharge chamber 27, silencer 28 and flows dividedly through a plural branch discharge pipe 29a. The sucked gas being low in temperature in this case, the motor 2 can effectively be cooled down.
