Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the volume efficiency of enclosed electric compressors by providing a suction silencer associatively formed with the head cover within a space unaffected by the heat transmission from the hot heat source instead of immersing in the lubricating oil to prevent the overheating of the suction gas.
CONSTITUTION: A suction silencer 12, a suction silencer chamber 19 and a head cover 14 are formed by associating punched and pressed parts by brazing the arranged in the space on both sides of an outlet silencer 17 in Y-shape in order to effectively utilize the space. The suction silencer chamber 19 is located in the space outside of the lubricating oil and apart from the hot outlet silencer 17 to prevent absorbed gas from overheating, thus saving the compressing energy and improving the volume efficiency of the compressor, which allows the reduction of the dimensions of the compressor.
