Abstract

PURPOSE: To save power consumption of a compressor by limiting the intake volume when the intake pressure is lowered to the specified value; and by adjusting the outgoing volume.
CONSTITUTION: Although part of the cooling gas medium that has flowed into an intake chamber 28 also flows into a front chamber 31a, it presses a diaphragm 32 in a direction of a back chamber 32b because of the difference in pressure between the intake pressure and atmospheric pressure in the compressor, and the maximum volume of the cooling gas medium is sucked to a compressing chamber 9a on its intake side from both the primary intake port 29 and the secondary intake port 30 while the secondary intake port 30 being opened. Next if the pressure falls down to the specified value, the diaphragm 32 is pushed to the direction of the front chamber 31a to shut the secondary intake port 30. As a result, the volume of the inflow of the cooling gas medium is reduced because the gas medium flows into the compressing chamber 9a passing through only the primary intake port, while preventing the increase in exhausting volume. Thus, the load of the compressor is reduced.
