Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a double suction type fan having a directly connected motor, which is capable of obtaining substantially uniform air flow over the entire area of an outlet port even if the spacing between the casing and motor is reduced, by disposing a flow regulating plate on the inside of said outlet port of the casing.
CONSTITUTION: A flow regulating plate 6 in the form of a thin, flat plate is attached to the outlet port 5 of a casing 2, in the manner that the inner space of the outlet port 5 is divided into two substantially equal parts on the side of a motor and on the opposite side of the same. By the function of this flow regulating plate 6, it is enabled to discharge air from the outlet port 5 substantially straightly and to obtain substantially uniform air flow over the entire area of outlet port 5.
