Abstract
PURPOSE:To secure the start of data processing in a short time by performing repetitive storage operation of the auxiliary program storage region of a main memory unit in a dummy cycle and also by repeatedly refreshing the remaining region. CONSTITUTION:Right after power feed or recovery from a power failure, a program read out from auxiliary memory unit 3 through control circuit 4 and address register 5 is written at the same address of main memory unit 1 for a dummy cycle and when it is detected by final address register 6, a dummy-cycle counter starts adding count operation through register 6 and register 5 is initialized. Then, the opertion of counter 7 is repeated until its value exceeds the value of a setting circuit and circuit 4 generates a post-stage processing signal by an overflow signal, thereby repeating the dummy cycle. At the same time or in a period until the start of post-stage processing, the remaining region of unit 1 is repeatedly refreshed to stabilize memory contents in a short time before the whole memory unit becomes ready to operate, thereby shortening the data processing rise time.
