Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a metal container manufacture device for the crystal oscillator or the like which is useful to the secondary processing by reducing the oxide film at the concavity of the metal container via the carbon fitted onto the contact surface between the concavity of the metal container and the fused glass and thus preventing flow (wetting) of the glass. CONSTITUTION:Fused glass 2 passed through inside of lead wires 6 and 6 is filled into metal conainer 1 which functions as the base board plate for the crystal oscillator, and then immediately carbon 5 is applied on the surface of glass 2 to be fitted by pushing onto the inner circumference surface of concavity 1a of container 1. As a result, the oxide film is reduced over the entire contact surface between glass 2 and the metal surface of concavity 1a, and then glass 2 is press-formed flat and evenly on surface 5a of carbon 5 to be then cooled and solidiried. After solidification of glass 2, carbon 5 is exfoliated from the surface of glass 2 to complete the forming. To avoid obstracting lead wires 6 and 6, lead wire piercing holes 7 and 7 are drilled to carbon 5.
