Abstract

PURPOSE: The low alloy heat resisting steel of improved creep brittleness characteristics comprising adding one or two kinds of Ti, Nb to Cr-Mo-base low alloy heat- resisting steel so as to satisfy the specific relations with the specific creep brittleness coefficients or adding a suitable amount of B to the abovementioned alloy.
CONSTITUTION: The captioned heat-resisting steel is the superior steel for high temperature which contains one or two kinds of Ti, Nb in ordinary Cr-Mo-base low alloy heat-resisting steel (separately mentioned specific composition) so as to satisfy (Ti+Nb)%/CEF≥0.08 (where 0.02 to 0.2% in one or two kinds of Ti, Nb, CEF≥ 1) in the relations with creep brittleness coefficient CEF {=5(Sb%)1/2+ 2(As%+ Sn%)1/2+(Cu%+P%)1/2} or further contains B; 0.0005 to 0.006% in this and is composed of the rest of Fe, etc. and which is less in creep breaking ductility deterioration of the weld heat affected zone which will become an important problem for the breakage of high temperature structures as compared to ordinary Cr-Mo steel.
