Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a head with high durability and at a low cost by tightly joining more than one metal sheets making up the ink feed chamber, the compression chamber, and the nozzle or the like. CONSTITUTION:In the head of an ink jet printer designed to print by injecting ink particles to the spot only required on the recording paper, a metal base plate 10 is wrought by corrosion or other method into concaves for an ink feed chamber 11, a compression chamber 12, an ink jet nozzle 13 and an ink passage 14. This can produce a head with a high durability and at a low cost. In addition, since the joining is possible without damage to the nozzle, function of the nozzle can be made higher in the density.
