Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the separation of an ink layer and to improve the efficiency of repeatedly operated transcription by a method wherein, in a thermal transcribing ink sheet comprising a base, an ink layer and an intermediate later used to combine the base and the ink layer together, the base is coated with the intermediate layer and then the ink layer, before being heated transversely from the base side. CONSTITUTION:A condencer paper base 3, 12mum thick, is coated with an intermediate layer that is 6mum thick and made by dispersing fine carbon black powder in a heat fusing polyamide adhesive agent. Then the base is coated with an ink layer 1 which is 30mum thick and made by dispersing carbon black powder in an ink material. 10min after the base has been coated with ink, the ink sheet is heated for 10sec from the base 3 side by a hot air at 120 deg.C, using a blower 4. In so doing, the ink layer is prevented from being separated from the intermediate layer 6 mum thick in the sheet, so that stable transcription can be repeatedly carried out. In addition, the advantage is that the ink sheet is free from aging because of the evaporation of a solvent in the ink layer.
