Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve a function considerably by dividing k-number lines of an m-column and (n+k)-line semiconductor memory and selecting divided groups simultaneously or individually. CONSTITUTION:An m-column and (n+k)-line constitution is given to semiconductor memory cell array 1, and further, k-number lines are divided into, for example, two column groups 4 and 5. Here, k is defined as ''1''. Column groups 4 and 5 are directly selected by address circuit part 6, and the memory is selected by circuit 6 and address decoder 2 exclusively; and, for example, if one line out of n-number lines is selected by decoder 2, circuit part 6 is inhibited from selecting column groups 4 and 5. For the purpose of selecting the memory in this relation, signal A or anti-A is applied to terminal 12 and is directly applied to AND gates 10 and 11, and meanwhile, signal A or anti-A is applied to AND gates 7-9 through inverter 13.
