Abstract

PURPOSE: To carry out the effective regeneration capable of improving a flowing amount of water passing through a filter body through the mechanism wherein a backwash water is passed through a porous filter body to regenerate while a high temperature air is passed through.
CONSTITUTION: In case of regenerating a porous filter body such as a clogged porous tube filter 5 and the like, the air from a backwash air bomb 10 is added to a water receiver 7 by a three-way switch valve 8 and a stored water within the water receiver 7 is supplied under pressure to a housing 4 to remove a hard clogging substance such as iron oxide and the like. Thereafter, the three-way switch valve 8 is switched and the air heated by an air heater 13 is directly supplied to the housing 4 from the bomb 10. Thereby, the soft clogging substance such as bacteria and the like within the porous tube filter 5 can be removed and the water flowing amount of the porous filter body is drastically improved.
