Abstract
PURPOSE: Kieselguhr and a finely powdered agent for regenerating deteriorated oil are wound into a roll with an oil-permeating sheet to produce an element that can treat deteriorated oil economically and efficiently.
CONSTITUTION: On a continuous and porous sheet with oil permeability 1 such as filter paper, cloth, membrane or nonwoven fabric, are placed a finely powdery agent for regenerating deteriorated oil such as active clay, active rock or zeolite 2 and kieselguhr 3 from feeders 2' and 3' separately into a layer. At the same time, the sheet is wound around the revolving shaft 4 until the roll becomes a certain diameter and then the shaft is removed to give an element 5 for the regneration of the deteriorated oil. The resultant oil-regeneration element 5 is set in the regenerator 7 so that the powdery oil-regenerating layer comes to the upper side wherein the deteriorated oil such as waste lubricant 6 is introduced from inlet 8 into chamber 9, passed through the element 5 where it is regenerated, further through chamber 10 and inner port 11 and expelled out of the outlet 12.
