Abstract

PURPOSE:To always ensure a stabilized discharge characteristic, by means of arranging an elastic unit in the liquid content material intermediately placed between positive and negative poles. CONSTITUTION:Between a negative pole 6, consisting of lithiums, and a positive pole compound 3, consisiting of carbon fluorids, are provided a separator 4 and liquid content material 5, and in this material 5 is arranged an elastic unit 11. And both end faces 5a, 5b of the liqyid content material 5 are strongly press contacted to surfaces of the negative pole 6 and surfaces of the positive pole compound 3, through the separator 4, respectively, with a connection made ensured of the electrolyte between the both poles. As a material used for the elastic unit 11, there are provided a metal elastic unit like stainless steel of electrolyte resistant character, resin state elastic unit like polyethylene, polypropylene, rubber state elastic unit like thermoplastic elastomer, etc. A shape of the elastic unit 11 may be made optional in accordance with a performance of the cell. It is preferable for the above described constitution to be applied to, for instance, a cell where an amount of increase of positive pole thickness according to discharge is smaller than an amount of decrease of the negative pole thickness, for instance, with manganese dioxide, caorbon fluorid being the positive pole and light metal being the negative pole, that is, an organic electrolytic cell.
