Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition which shows no blushing of a dope solution and blushing of the surface and which shows excellent wet dispersibility without sensitivity lowering when employed as dope solution, by using a water-soluble salt of a diisobutylene-maleic anhydride copolymer as a wet dispersant. CONSTITUTION:A water-soluble salt of a diisobutylene-maleic anhydride copolymer represented by a formula (where, n is 5-50X10<2>; R is C3-8 hydrocarbon residues and a non-olefin portion of unsaturated hydrocarbons) is compounded as a wet dispersant to a heat-sensitive recording material, which consists of an acidic substance, such as bisphenol A, and a color-forming dye compound, which reacts with the acidic substance and forms color, such as crystal violet lactone. The water- soluble salt of the copolymer is particularly effective for wetting and finely dispersing fatty acid amide, a sensitizer of the heat-sensitive recording material, and used in a quantity of not less than 1% preferably not less than 3%, to fatty acid amide in a solid content ratio.
