Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the measuring accuracy by using a cutter sampler and a sampling hopper. CONSTITUTION:A cutter sampler 4 formed with an aperture 4a is fixed to one end of a chain 7 which is connected to sprockets 8 and 9 below a supply belt conveyor 1. Below the sampler 4, there is arranged through a sampling chute 10 a sampling hopper 11 which is equipped with a neutron moisture meter 12. The coke 2, which is supplied from the supply belt conveyor 1, is sampled by the cutter sampler 4, while falling down through metering hoppers 3 and 3', so that the accurate mean moisture value of the coke 2 in the hoppers 3 and 3' is obtained. For the condensed sample in the sampling hopper 11, the accurate correspondence between the measured value by the meter 12 and the analyzed value by the dry method can be obtained to improve the accuracy of the metering ray.
