Abstract

PURPOSE:To make unattended on-line analysis for 24hr, by a method wherein the measurement of a calibration curve is automatically made by periodically adding an interruption to the analysing line of an sample. CONSTITUTION:For the normal on-line analysis, a sample sent from air stations 14-17 by an air shooter 18 is sent in a sample adjusting apparatus 6 by a carrier arm 19. The sample ground 9, rinsed 10 and dried 11 is mounted on a sample mounting portion 2 by a rotary arm 12. Discharging is allowed to take place across the sample and the electrode, so that spectral measurement is carried out with a spectrometer 3 and a photometer 4. The measured data are sent to a computer 5 and the composition of the sample is obtained through a calibration curve and printed on a printer 30. When standardized time is detected, the standard sample on a sample stand 22 is mounted onto 2 by a standardized arm 23, and the calibration curve is obtained from the spectral photometric data. by so doing, completely unattended on-line analysis for 24hr becomds possible.
