Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform continuous measurement dilute NH3 with good accuracy, by using the platinum borne on the honey comb carrier for the said catalyzer with specified conditions, in the method obtaining amount of NH3 in gas through the measurement of NO amount obtsined through conversion by catalyzer.
CONSTITUTION: NH3-NO converter filling in catalyzer is passed through, NH3 in the inspected gas is converted into NO, the amount of NO is measured with an analyzer and the amount of NH3 contained is continuously measured. In such a method, as the said catalyzer, the catalyzer giving platinum of about 0.3wt.% or more (favorably, 0.8 to 2wt.%) to the honey-comb carrier is used, and measurment is made by passing through the insepected gas including NH3 at the space speed of about 2000 to 100000/hour (favorably, 40000 to 80000/hour).
