Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a bublle memory film for a high-density memory having a bubble diameter of less than 1.5μm, limiting displacement of aluminum of an aluminum-displacing type garnet film and also displacement of more than 2 kinds of selected rare earths.
CONSTITUTION: This has a composition which can be expressed, in general, by a formula of R1 3-xR2 xFe5-yAlyO12. However, R1 in the formula is to be more than 1 kind of elements including Y, Gd, Yb, Tm, Lu and La, and RII is to be 1 kind or more of these elements and selected to meet the condition of 0.5<x<2.0, 0.2,y< 0.9. Further, in case if Gd is used for RI, the amount of Gd is to become less than 0.5 per molecular formula. If Eu is used for RII, the amount of Eu is to become less than 1.4 per molecular formula.
