Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a heat-printer having a thermal ribbon for making ink reproduction with small energy, with supply member melted for applying ink to a belt- shaped member by heating application rolle member. CONSTITUTION:A belt-shaped member 1 on which transcription has been made is fed to a place opposite to an application roller memeber 6 by a transferring base table 9. The application roller member 6, heated up to a higher temperature than the melting point of heat melting ink, simultaneously engages with a supply member 5 and a belt-shaped member 1. The ink of the supply member 5 melts and attaches to the surface of the application roller member 6. With the application roller member 6 rotating on the transfer of the beet-shaped member 1, melted ink is applied to the outer side face of the belt-shaped member 1 so that ink reproduction is performed. Thus, ink is applied after melted by the heating thereof by the application roller member 6. Therefore, this method requires only as small energy for the reproduction of the ink as about 1/4 of that of the conventional method of heating the belt-shaped member 1 from the reverse side thereof since the energy is required to do no more than to melt the ink of the supply member 5.
