Abstract

PURPOSE:To utilize the thermoelectric cooling element of small refrigerating capacity at high efficiency and capture the solvent vapor, by leading the solvent vapor generating in the fixing-drying part of wet type electrophotographic apparatus into a secondary condenser by thermoelectric cooling through a primary condenser. CONSTITUTION:A transfer paper P receives fixing action between a heater 1a and a roller 1b, and, at the same time, releases the absorbed developer as vapor. A fan 2a sends the vapor to a primary condenser 3, and the vapor is cooled by a heat pipe 3a. The vapor is further led into a secondary condenser 4, and is cooled by a thermoelectric cooling element 4a, and the majority of the solvent vapor is liquefied and flows out from a drain pipe 4d. The cooled clean air enters a heat exchanger 6, and cools the heat pipe 3a, and is dischrged out of the machine. By providing the primary condenser, the thermoelectric cooling element of small refrigerating capacity may be utilized efficiently, and the vapor of solvent may be captured and recovered also efficiently.
