Abstract

PURPOSE: To treat sludge, crude night soil or the like efficiently under excellent fermentation condition, by providing permeable shelf and auxiliary heat source in the bottom part of horizontal type rotary fermentation tank, and providing sludge and night soil sprinkling device and exhaust device in the upper part of the tank.
CONSTITUTION: A shelf 11 which does not allow the primary fermentation medium to fall down and is permeable is provided in the bottom part of a rotary drum 9. Several rows of warm water pipe 7 are provided on the shelf 11 as the fermentation promotion auxiliary heat source so as to activate the activities of aerobic pyrosymbiotic organisms. Specified quantity of sludge, crude night soil, or the like is sprinkled over the surface of the primary fermentation medium charged in the treatment fermentation tank from a sprinkling nozzle 10, and the fermentation tank is rotated for a specified duration at a specified speed, so that the fermentation medium and liquid waste water may be uniformly mixed. At this time, excellent fermentation conditions may be obtained by the heating by auxiliary heat source, air introduced from the shelf 11 by driving of exhaust tube 1, and agitation by rotation of the rotary drum 9. The medium after use may be returned to the farming land as organic fertilizer.
