Abstract

PURPOSE: To contribute to afforestation of a desert by connecting drain holes of living waste water purifying facilities to a treatment vessel consisting of a stone layer, a gravel layer, a sand layer, an earth layer, etc. and by making effective use of the waste water to cultivate plants in the earth layer.
CONSTITUTION: Distribution chamber 1 provided with upper and lower drain holes 3, 4 is connected to purification tank A of usual living waste water purifying facilities applying sedimentation, aeration, an activated carbon method, etc., and ends of porous pipes 11, 12 buried in the lower part and earth layer 10 of treatment vessel 6 consisting of stone layer 7, gravel layer 8, sand layer 9 and layer 10 piled up are communicated to holes 3, 4, respectively. Plants are cultivated in layer 10. Waste water treated in tank A is fed into pipe 11 from hole 4, filtered with layers 7, 8, and reaches layer 10, where org. components in the water are decomposed with bacteria in layer 10 and absorbed in the plants together with water.
