Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent water heating after hot water is no longer needed by flowing cold water to the heat exchanger at the time when the hot water discharge at the boiler is suspended wherein the capacity of hot water tank is small in comparison with heat output.
CONSTITUTION: In the system, the capacity of hot water tank at the heat exchanger 1 is small in comparison with heat output at the combustion apparatus 4. Connection pipes 13, 15 are connected to the water supply port 2 and hot water supply port 3 respectively, and the pipe 13 is connected to the water chamber 12 being divided by the diaphragm 11, while the pipe 15 is connected to the hot water chamber 14. Diaphragm 11 is energized to the water chamber 12 side by the spring 16, and two chambers 12, 14 are provided with air vent valve 17, 18 respectively. During the hot water feeding, diaphragm 11 is being pushed to the hot water chamber 14 side by the spring as shown in the figure. When hot water discharge is suspended, pressures at the two chambers 12 and 14 are balanced, diaphragm 11 being pushed to the chamber 12 side by the spring 16, which makes cold water flow out and flow from the heat exchanger 1 to the hot water chamber 14. Accordingly, water at the chamber 12 circulates to the chamber 14 thru the connecting pipe 15. Thus, the heat preserved at the heat exchanger 1 is capable of being absorbed and unnecessary over heating is prevented.
