Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable waste liquid to be treated effciently by letting the fine carbon particles in the waste liquid coagulate and sediment through combined use of inorganic base agglutinants and organic base agglutinants in the wet type desulphurization and denitration treatment of combustion waste gas.
CONSTITUTION: Inorganic base agglutinants such as aluminum sulfate, ferric chloride, etc. and organic base agglutinants such as polyacrylate are added to the waste liquid containing carbon fine particles discharged from the desulfurization and denitration process of combustion gas to let the sedimenting particle flocks become macro-sizes and sediment. The recoverable liquid such as sulfite, etc. is obtained from the supernatant. The amount of using the agglutinants is suitably about 1/2 to 1/10 of the carbon weight in, e.g., waste liquid, and the ratio of using the inorganic base agglutinants and organic base agglutinants is about 2:1.
