Abstract

PURPOSE: Ash is collected upstream the dinitrification unit and waste gas temperature is set to a temperature of 100 to 150°C at air heater outlet, thereby providing a means for treating smoke and ash which drastically reduces ash treatment work and enables to recover and regenerate ammonia gas.
CONSTITUTION: Alkaline material, particularly lime or slaked lime to be used for as cement material, is added in amount of 1 to 1.2 times molar number of ammonium sulfate or sulfuric acid contained in ash and fired at 400 to 700°C. Decomposition gas containing ammonia is treated by kiln 8 and then dust collector 9 to be separated as treated ash F. The ash F is again mixed in waste gas upstream or downstream the denitrification unit 5, and ammonia gas is reutilized as reducing agent.
