Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure an extremely high-efficiency control for the microprogram by executing directly the microorder to which no error is detected and then correcting the microorder to which an error is detected.
CONSTITUTION: Control memory 1 stores several microorders, and control memory address register 2 reads out the microorders in sequence from memory 1 for execution. Then high-speed error detection 3 is given to the microorder read out, and the error correction is given at error correction circuit 4. In case no error is detected at detection circuit 3, the microorder is carried out immediately; while the execution of the microorder is held until the error correction is given at circuit 4 in case an error is detected. Thus the microorder containing no error is executed directly, and the microorder containing an error is carried out after correction of the error. As a result, an extremely high-efficiency control is given to the microprogram.
