Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently ventilate air and displace gas in an enclosed space, by utilizing an air bag.
CONSTITUTION: An air bag 4 made of a gas-impermeable cloth, a plastic resin film, etc. is inserted through an opening 3 of a manhole into an enclosed space 2 in a tank, a hatch, etc. 1, and is connected to the end of an air feed pipe 7 positioned on an outlet side of a blower 5. Air or air-conditioned air sucked through a suction pipe 6 through the working of the blower 5 is fed in a pressured condition, and a ventilating space in the space 2 can be decreased due to expansion of the air bag 4. Afterwards, air or air-conditioned air is fed into the space 2 through a feed pipe 8 for the ventilating space, and as a result gas and polluted air filled in the ventilating space is exhausted through an exhaust pipe 12. Ventilating can thus be peformed by feeding a small volume of air.
