Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectuate and ensure ventilation by forming a ventilation path through a work space teeming with a number of balloons within a confined area, and by allowing the air to flow through the path.
CONSTITUTION: Workmen 10 are engaged in a paint job in a work space 3 at the bottom of an expansive confined area 2 of a hold 1. A number of balloons 4, filled up with an inexplosive gas of less specific gravity than the air, are mutually stringed and floated over the area 2 to form a ventilation path 5 passing the work space 3. Then an intake fan 6 and an exhaust fan 7 are operated to allow the air to flow through the path 5, as the arrow marks represent, and to supply fresh air to the work space 3.
