Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an aeration facility capable of automatically adjusting the replenishing amount of air depending on the water level in the tank, in order to carry out aeration treatment always under optimum conditions.
CONSTITUTION: When the water level in an adjusting tank 1 is higher than H1, an air blow source control means 9 issues a command for operation of all unit blowers 41, 42, 43, 44. An air blow source 6 continues operation on point a in the characteristic curve l4 capable of supplying pressure loss corresponding to the sum of the water level and ventilation resistance. If the water level drops due to some reason, the operating point of the air blow source 6 changes from point a to point b. When drop of water level below H1 is detected by a water level detecting means 7, the air blow source control means 9 issues an operation command to unit blowers 41, 42. Then, the air blow source 6 continues operation on point c in the characteristic curve l2. When the water level further decreases, the operating point of the air blow source 6 changes from point c to point d in the characteristic curve l2. If the water level decreases further more untile lower than H2, the air blow source control means 9 issues an operation command to the unit blower 42.
