PURPOSE:To obtain the tittled material consisting of a resin with a specified softening temperature, a dispersion dye and a substance with low molecular weight, and providing the surface of plain papers, plastics, metal foils and the like with a record that is of primary coloring type and is excellent in preservative stability. CONSTITUTION:When a transcription sheet is heated by using a heat-sensitive recording head and a transcription layer of a lower surface of the transcription sheet is transcribed to a body to be recroded, the transcription layer is composed of A) a resin with the softening temperature of 60-110 deg.C, preferably phenol resin, epoxy resin, etc. as shown in the formula (where R is H, alkyl, or phenyl; n is 0-50), B) a dispersion dye (preferably, azodye and anthraquinone dye) or said dyes together with other coloring agents, and C) a substance with low molecular weight that is liquid at normal temperatures or becomes liquefied when it is heated by means of a heat-sensitive head and has compatibiliy with the dispersion dyes (preferably, an organic compound with m.p. of 120 deg.C or lower).
