Abstract
PURPOSE: To accomplish accurate decomposition of organic high polymer by sending liquid containing low molecular compounds only to the methane fomentation process after decomposition of organic high polymers contained in a waste liquid or a sludge through an anaerobic biological treatment while the remaining sludge is returned to the first process through an aerobic treatment.
CONSTITUTION: An organic waste liquid W1 or an organic sludge S1 is fed to a low molecular conversion tank to decompose the organic high polymers to low molecular compounds with a group of breathing anaerobic bacteria. A part of the sludge is withdrawn out of the tank and then, subjected to an anaerobic treatment in a tank 3 with the blowing of air A. Then, it is returned to the low molecular conversion tank. On the other hand, a liquid W2 containing low molecular compound is introduced into a methane conversion tank 2 to perform a fomentation of methane. With such an arrangement, the aeration of the partial sludge in the low molecular tank allows the control of multiplication of methane bacteria. Accordingly, low molecular conversion by a group of breathing anaerobic bacteria proceeds stably.
