Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize a miniature and lightweight power circuit whose charge time is short and which has high power consumption efficiency, by driving an inverter composed of a high-frequency transformer and switching transistor by a pulse of 20kHz. CONSTITUTION:Once switching transistors 3 and 4 are driven by a pulse of 20kHz from pulse oscillator 21, a high-tension and high-frequency alternating current is induced through the secondary winding of transistor 5 and capacitor 10 is charged through diodes 8 and 9. The charge in capacitor 10 is discharged to flash bulb 11 through reactors 12 and 13 when flash bulb 11 is triggered. Therefore, neither a short current nor a rush current flows through high-frequency transformer 5 and no rise in load occurs, so that there will be no need for a large unit.
