Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve flow-rate measurement precision with the disorder of a Karman vortex prevented by arranging a rotary blade wheel at the upstream or downstream of a vortex generating body arranged at the suction air intake of an engine and by suppressing the propagating of a suction-air pulsation to a flow-rate detection part effectively.
CONSTITUTION: In conduction duct 7 between air-cleaner case 5 of air suction passage 1 and duct 6 connected to a throttle chamber, Karman-vortex type flow-rate detection part 4 is provided. At the upstream and downstream of vortex generating body 8 of flow-rate detection part 4, rectifiers 11 and 12 are arranged to stabilize the generation of a Karman vortex street, thereby measuring a flow rate with high precision. Then, rotary blade wheel 13 is arranged close to rectifier 12 at the downstream so as to cover the passage section of duct 7 with projection surfaces of several blades 14 without making a gap, so that propagation of an air suction pulsation from the downstream will effectively be cut off.
