Abstract

CONSTITUTION: The reaction between 9-β-D-ribofuranosyl-6-chloropurine of formula I (Y, Z are H, protecting groups) and a carboxylic ester of formula II (R1 is alkyl, OR2; R2 is alkyl, aralkyl) is effected in a solvent of dimethylsulfoxide, hexamethyl phosphoroamide in the presence of a base as sodium hydroxide, n-butyl lithium at a temperature of room temperature to refluxing one, preferably under anhydrous conditions, to produce of 2-(9-β-D-ribofuranosylpurine-6-yl) acetate or its derivative of formula III (R3 is H, COOR2).
