Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve dynamic characteristics by combining two specific magnetic garnet films with hard-magnetization axes of the two made to agree.
CONSTITUTION: On a garnet substrate with a [110] surface as a magnetic bubble element, a 1st garnet film which has an easy-magnetization axis in a [110] direction perpendicular to the film surface is formed by liquid-phase epitaxial method. In the surface of this film, an intermediate-magnetization axis and the hard-magnetization axis are [110] and [001] respectively. On the 1st garnet film, the 2nd magnetic garnet film is formed. The hard-magnetization axis of the 1st film is [001] and agrees with that of the 2nd film; the easy-magnetization axis of the 2nd film is [110] in the surface, and its intermediate-magnetization axis is [110] perpendicular to the film surface. After the 2nd film is formed on the substrate, the 1st film on it and the 2nd film at both the sides of the 1st film may be formed. In addition, a similar compound film can be formed by the same fusion wave by changing partial pressure of O2 in an atmosphere where a tmeperature balances with a fusion liquid in growth.
